The Misfits…
Snippets from what I’ve written so far that I feel capture the essence of each main character. Hopefully, once I’m finished and have released their story to the world, you’ll love all of them as much as I do!
DOUGIE ~ A jagged bruise marred the apple’s smooth surface, setting it apart from the other fruit that looked like they’d been carved in glistening rainbow wax. It was a flawed anomaly surrounded by perfection, trying to make a place for itself where it didn’t belong. Just like me.
TRIP ~ It had only been one mistake, but sometimes one mistake is all it takes to wipe out a lifetime of perfection.
LINDSEY ~ “Be careful about showing me your back. I may not stab you, but if the knife’s already there, I might push it in deeper if it’ll get me what I want.”
RAVI ~ Everything that could happen had already happened somewhere, anything that could be said had already been spoken by someone, and any impact anyone could have on your life would only last for a moment. So what was the point to anything? Might as well sit back and enjoy the show.
RAELYNN ~ “Everyone has something to say, but no one ever knows what the hell they’re talking about.”
KAI ~ Most people saw the world in black and white. The rest saw shades of gray. But Kai saw that black had screwed around on white, got busted, was killed in a crime of passion, and the world was now a brilliant shade of fuchsia. He couldn’t help it if everyone else was color blind.
